The visual layout is crisper than P6, and a lot of schedulers swear it’s faster to build and update schedules inside Asta than older desktop platforms. The real weakness is ecosystem fit; fewer subcontractors and owners use it, which can create headaches on file sharing and schedule reviews.

If your firm tackles rail, highway, or utility work regularly, run a trial. For typical vertical construction or when your owner dictates the scheduling format, you’ll burn a lot of time converting files back and forth.
